Price history
Filled markers are recorded price or stock changes per capsule; hollow markers are additional archived sightings that confirmed the same local price. A line spans only dates on which the listing kept being seen, gaps mean continuity is not established, and dashed stretches are periods observed out of stock.
Converted to $ at the reference rate of each observation's own date, so every market is what it would have cost you on the day it was read.
Hover a line or a market name to read it; press one to keep it lit, and press again to release. Several can be held at once.

Common questions
Where is Starbucks® Espresso Roast cheapest?
Starbucks® Espresso Roast is cheapest in France at $0.57 per capsule, and most expensive in United States at $1.30 per capsule, based on the latest published prices in each market.
Why does Starbucks® Espresso Roast cost different amounts in different countries?
Each market is priced separately. The gap comes from local taxes, currency movements, distribution costs and local pricing strategy — for Starbucks® Espresso Roast the spread between the cheapest and dearest market is 129%.
What is the intensity of Starbucks® Espresso Roast?
Starbucks® Espresso Roast has an intensity of 11 on the manufacturer's scale and is intended for a Espresso (40 ml) cup size.
Which machines does Starbucks® Espresso Roast fit?
Starbucks® Espresso Roast is a Vertuo capsule and fits Vertuo machines only. Vertuo and Original capsules are physically different and are not interchangeable.
Is Starbucks® Espresso Roast a capsule or a coffee pod?
Both words describe the same thing. The manufacturer calls them capsules, and English-language stores also say coffee pods; Starbucks® Espresso Roast is one sealed portion of ground coffee either way. This site says "capsule" throughout only for consistency — searching for "Starbucks® Espresso Roast pods" and "Starbucks® Espresso Roast capsules" will find the same coffee.
What does Starbucks® Espresso Roast taste like?
The published flavour notes for Starbucks® Espresso Roast are caramel, rich, roasted.
In how many countries is Starbucks® Espresso Roast sold?
Starbucks® Espresso Roast is currently listed in 11 of the markets we track. Availability differs by country, and a capsule sold in one market is often absent from its neighbour.
What cup size is Starbucks® Espresso Roast brewed at?
Storefronts list Starbucks® Espresso Roast at Espresso (40 ml).
Can Starbucks® Espresso Roast be brewed shorter and stronger for a milk drink?
On Vertuo machines with Coffee Creations the same capsule brews a shorter, stronger cup, intended as the base for iced and milk drinks. It is an extra mode, not the only one these machines have: a normal cup is still one press. On Vertuo Next, Pop, Pop+, Lattissima and Creatista you turn it on by pressing the coffee button twice — it blinks turquoise, the mode applies to that cup only, and the machine goes back to brewing normally afterwards; Vertuo Up has a dedicated Coffee Creations button, and there the mode stays on until the machine is switched off. The size steps down one place: an Espresso capsule brews as a Ristretto (25 ml), Double Espresso and Gran Lungo brew as an Espresso (40 ml), and a Mug capsule brews as a Double Espresso (80 ml). The machine refuses the mode for Ristretto, Cold Brew Style and Carafe capsules — the mode switches off again and the barcode size is brewed — and Nespresso does not recommend it for Alto or the Coffee+ range. In the rare case that the double press does nothing, try updating the machine’s firmware from the Nespresso app. Older Vertuo models, including Vertuo Plus, brew only the size written in the barcode.
