Starbucks® Veranda Blend® In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. Starbucks® sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance.

Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one - mellow and flavorful.

Summary of what people say: Starbucks Veranda Blend is a light roast with a mellow, smooth profile and rich crema, but opinions differ on its depth. Some drinkers value its gentle character, while others find the cup flat or weak and prefer Nespresso’s own capsules. It is best suited to people who prefer light coffee and cold preparations.

  • Suitable for light-roast drinkers
  • Acceptable as a convenient fallback
  • Some find Nespresso brand capsules clearly better
  • The cup can seem flat or weak

What people say

  • In tasting the Veranda, we found it pleasant but somewhat lackluster. With its mild acidity, low intensity, and mellow flavor, Veranda is the style you sip if you aren't really a coffee drinker.

  • The Starbucks Veranda blend is a light-roasted coffee, mellow but bold at the same time. It has that fantastic and rich Nespresso foam

Source (opens in a new tab)
  • Yes. I don’t mind the veranda blend if I need pods in a pinch, but Nespresso brand is so much better.

Source (opens in a new tab)
  • I tried the Starbucks Veranda blend pods and I really like them. But they are like $11 for 8 pods at Walmart.

  • The veranda blonde one is actually good if you like light roasts, but yeah the actual nespresso brand is better.

Common questions

Where is Starbucks Veranda Blend® cheapest?

Why does Starbucks Veranda Blend® cost different amounts in different countries?

Is Starbucks Veranda Blend® a capsule or a coffee pod?

Both words describe the same thing. The manufacturer calls them capsules, and English-language stores also say coffee pods; Starbucks Veranda Blend® is one sealed portion of ground coffee either way. This site says "capsule" throughout only for consistency — searching for "Starbucks Veranda Blend® pods" and "Starbucks Veranda Blend® capsules" will find the same coffee.

Can Starbucks Veranda Blend® be brewed shorter and stronger for a milk drink?

On Vertuo machines with Coffee Creations the same capsule brews a shorter, stronger cup, intended as the base for iced and milk drinks. It is an extra mode, not the only one these machines have: a normal cup is still one press. On Vertuo Next, Pop, Pop+, Lattissima and Creatista you turn it on by pressing the coffee button twice — it blinks turquoise, the mode applies to that cup only, and the machine goes back to brewing normally afterwards; Vertuo Up has a dedicated Coffee Creations button, and there the mode stays on until the machine is switched off. The size steps down one place: an Espresso capsule brews as a Ristretto (25 ml), Double Espresso and Gran Lungo brew as an Espresso (40 ml), and a Mug capsule brews as a Double Espresso (80 ml). The machine refuses the mode for Ristretto, Cold Brew Style and Carafe capsules — the mode switches off again and the barcode size is brewed — and Nespresso does not recommend it for Alto or the Coffee+ range. In the rare case that the double press does nothing, try updating the machine’s firmware from the Nespresso app. Older Vertuo models, including Vertuo Plus, brew only the size written in the barcode.
